OECD Blockchain Summit

Updated: Apr 16

The Australian Financial Review published an interesting summary on some of the comments from the OECD - OCDE gathering in Paris, where the European Commission's paper Blockchain Now and Tomorrow was presented.  The executive summary is below

My favourite highlight:

"blockchain is now one of the technologies which is anticipated to have a profound impact over the next 10-15 years"

Including a hairdryer as an example of energy trading is ... interesting!

While I couldn't make it I hear Caroline Malcolm did a superb job with her team to make the event fantastic.  It's great to see such amazing Australian leadership at the OECD level with Greg Medcraft there too.

The pace of government realising the power of #DLT and #Blockchain is picking up, now Australia just needs to get cracking.
